We tell ourselves we chose our responsibilities. Our families, our commitments, our duties. That we picked them freely and carry them willingly. But did we? Or were we always going to end up here — shaped by guilt, expectation, love, fear, and a society that had already decided what we owed before we were old enough to question it? Is responsibility something we step into — or something we were pushed into and learned to call a choice? House of Wisdom is a weekly gathering in Lahore where ten curious minds sit with one uncomfortable idea and spend two hours honestly wrestling with it. Not a lecture. Not a debate club. Just conversation — and chai on the house. Five voices will argue that responsibility is a genuine choice — something we own, embrace and define for ourselves.
